Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV
[3] He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. [4] Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. [5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Only when the wound heals it leaves a scar or stripes. If not healed it worsens with puss formation and a serious infection.
People give importance to physical healing but at the same time neglect the emotional part which is sometimes the root cause of physical ailments.
When in general scars carry a negative story behind it as history.
But the scars of Jesus Christ carry a positive story, because he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.
We need to apply his scars as a balm on our emotional wounds for His scars heals.
He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
Is not the above words sounds resonance to our own life struggles.
A man of sorrows ,acquainted with griefs.
Rejected by men.
How many times we get rejected by our own blood relations, friends ,we go misunderstood and pierced by words which causes deep wounds and leaves us bled wanting for little show of mercy, grace ,a little kindness here and there a little love ,a bit of care.
Yes we do hurt , couldn’t bear it anymore we give it back, sometimes we hold it for a long time and vent it out to catch our loved ones unaware of the grudge we carried so long and so far ,those bitterness.
Wounds growing now to become infectious to the extent that even our jokes hurt, we become masters of sarcasm.
What do scars do. Yes we know Scars of Jesus heals.
How about our scars? Yes those are our experiences.
We do not play the victim card any more ,or become a judge. But we become a coach.our job is now to make others win, not winning it for them but showing them the way to cross , Jesus can bring them healing quicker than any other tools available in this world.
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows.
Do you know we cannot leave these emotional issues of us and our loved ones unattended.
Sorrow:
Six lettered english word. But how deep and wide like depth of the ocean is this sorrow is.
Can anyone share our sorrows, can they bear it for a while that we could get some respite.
How much the world has to offer to give you temporary respite from sorrows and griefs but who can uproot it from its roots.
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;
How comforting these words are.
Why we need to carry this burden any more ,give it to Jesus.
Let us receive our emotional healing from the true Healer.
Let’s take the first step to pray, let the Lord’s healing follow, flow into our lives and to our loved ones, friends and colleagues.
