Christ Jesus the true Leader: part 1

My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter

The world has seen many many leaders who have come and gone.

But there is none like our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ in the past or for the ages to come.

The true essence and the epitome of leadership is Christ Jesus.

Many management thought leaders , authors and mentors who are considered as authority in the subject of leadership, have their foundational and fundamental principles of leadership drawn from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Few observations on leadership qualities of Jesus Christ from my point of view.

Diversity and inclusiveness:

Christ Jesus pioneered Diversity and inclusiveness even before today’s D&I champions of the world could even think of it.

Jesus picked up a set of ordinary fishermen and also the well learnt to be his team members.

Jesus also saw that his team has Gender diversity,

Mary Magdalene, Martha, Mary the mother of Jesus, mother of James and John , the women who got her daughter healed by Jesus, Peter’s mother in law, the women who got issue of the blood healed, the women who’ got her spine healed and straightened.

Above all, although a Jew, by reaching out to the Samaritan women , Jesus led by example in  preventing racism which was prevalent in that society.

Training and Empowerment:

He trained the ordinary fishermen to do extraordinary feets, which was truly unrelated to their skill sets and knowledge. He led them from the front and showed how to execute a job successfully .

He also held himself back and directed and empowered them to complete a given task.

Working for a larger goal  then self:

He came not to conquer the world or a kingdom with flesh and blood. But to establish God’s Kingdom by giving His flesh and blood.

He conquered the world by love.He left behind an legacy.

Leading by example:

He not only preached but lived every word he preached.

While teaching his disciples to pray, he himself prayed every day setting aside time and place sometime extended hours .

At the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed even when his disciples fell asleep.

Being transparent,Breaking down and simplifying the big picture :

His teachings were not burdensome but were enlightening to  the hungry and remedy for the sick souls. His word is Life. Light in the darkness. Never were they a blind man’s direction. But gave eyes to the blind.

Empathy:

He healed the leper, opened the eyes of the blind. When everyone wanted to stone and kill an adulterous, Jesus saved her life and restored her dignity.

Overcoming set backs:

Jesus resisted temptation and overcame setbacks many times to achieve the goal.
First at the wilderness, he was fasting and praying and the devil came to test him.
Jesus overcame the devil.

Second time at the garden of Gethsemane, overwhelmed by the life burdening tasks ahead,  Jesus resisted the temptation to quit. He overcame by surrendering his self will to God the Father.

Thirdly when the high priest and the governor pilate asking him for a sign from heaven to prove him as the one sent by God and the Messiah. Jesus did not give in to that pressure. He knew that it is easy to make them believe with a sign from heaven but the world would have lost the opportunity of salvation forever.
Because the wages of sin is death.

Jesus came into this world to pay the wages for the whole world at the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the lamb of God that took away the sins of this world.

Staying till the end and achieving the goal even if required to pay with your life.

Like a true soldier, Jesus stood the ground even when all of his followers disowned him.
He conquered the devil, paid the price for our sins ,he shed his blood and gave his life on the cross, as a remission to the sins of the world. Thus created a way for the whole world to freely receive salvation.

He not only received the reward of raising from the dead but will also share it with all of us whomever believes in Him .

We who believe will be raised up to eternal life to live forever with Him.

John 3:16 NKJV
[16] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
