Lesson 1:
The peril of the knowledge that we are walking in closeness with God, is to miss the truth that He is God and we are Human. To think that we know all of Him is childish.
Have you come across people talking too much of God and on God’s behalf?
Job 36:1-2 NKJV
[1] Elihu also proceeded and said: [2] “Bear with me a little, and I will show you That there are yet words to speak on God’s behalf.
Have you come across some Listening to familiar spirits and call you or meet you and say exclusive word from God for you ? But will portray God as a mean personality and you unrepented sinner awaiting God’s judgement.
Job 4:15-18 NKJV
[15] Then a spirit passed before my face; The hair on my body stood up. [16] It stood still, But I could not discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes; There was silence; Then I heard a voice saying: [17] ‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God? Can a man be more pure than his Maker? [18] If He puts no trust in His servants, If He charges His angels with error,
Have you come across those blaming you and even your family for troubles you are going through?
Job 8:1-6 NKJV
[1] Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said: [2] “How long will you speak these things, And the words of your mouth be like a strong wind? [3] Does God subvert judgment? Or does the Almighty pervert justice? [4] If your sons have sinned against Him, He has cast them away for their transgression. [5] If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty, [6] If you were pure and upright, Surely now He would awake for you, And prosper your rightful dwelling place.
Job’s friends are those, though they were sounding as strong supporters to God and His ways, they did not clearly understand the true purpose behind Job’s suffering.
They did not even realise, they are getting played in the hands of satan.
At Once side Job’s trouble intensifies with his wife disowning him by asking him to curse God and die.
On the other side his friends are trying to reason with Job that his sin has caused him the trouble and asking him to introspect.
The more job listened to his friends, the more he poured out his anger at God, and in defending himself to the extent that he forgot all about his right defence he made earlier on behalf of God to his wife and servants.
But one thing we could take comfort in is that God knew who we are and to what extent our earthen vessels could bear the burden, even though His burdens are light and His yoke is easy to carry.
But The Lord brings all trouble to its purposeful end and gives us peace.
Psalms 37:37 NKJV
[37] Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.
Let the Lord deal with friends of Job.
Job 42:7 NKJV
[7] And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.
