THE LORD IS OUR REFUGE:

Matthew 27:46 NKJV
[46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

unimaginable agony, an eternal pain. The very thought of separation from the living God is distressing.”

Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
[5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

The punishment of our sins is eternal separation from God our creator.

But God found a way, and it was a painful decision for the Triune God.”

Because of the terrible events planned for the Son of God, the ultimate consequence being the Son of Man’s separation from His Heavenly Father.”

It is equally painful for God the Father and the Holy Spirit .

The Son of Man was so deeply loved that God the Father left no stone unturned in voicing His love from heaven.”

Matthew 3:17 NKJV
[17] And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Mark 9:7 CEV
[7]  The shadow of a cloud passed over and covered them. From the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, and I love him. Listen to what he says!”

John 11:41-42 CEV
[41] After the stone had been rolled aside, Jesus looked up toward heaven and prayed, “Father, I thank you for answering my prayer. [42] I know that you always answer my prayers. But I said this, so the people here would believe you sent me.”

In this world seldom we see such an affectionate Father and Son duo. Each of them willing to do whatsoever the other asks.

Such a loving relationship between the Son and Father can make us feel envious.”

But we should not forget that the ultimate shared purpose of the Triune God is to redeem us mankind to themselves. To save each and everyone of us.

Is not that amazing. How much God could love,  the unworthy, undeserving Sinners like us.

2 Timothy 1:9-10 CEV
[9] God saved us and chose us to be his holy people. We did nothing to deserve this, but God planned it because he is so kind. Even before time began God planned for Christ Jesus to show kindness to us. [10] Now Christ Jesus has come to offer us God’s gift of undeserved grace. Christ our Savior defeated death and brought us the good news. It shines like a light and offers life that never ends.

Sometimes we do not understand,
When we go through tough times, we ask, ‘Why on earth do we have to go through this?’”
Terrible health condition, unending issues in marriage, unsettled children, financial difficulties the list goes on and on .

One might question why we endure difficulties in a Christian life, while others seem to live carefree, happy-go-lucky lives.”

But for us the tunnel seems unending.

At that very instance , comes His word
“be of good cheer “

John 16:33 NKJV
[33] These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

The very purpose of God reconciling us to Him is to have that eternal fellowship with us .

“I believe God values our fellowship. Though we are His creations, we are unique and different from angelic beings.”

In the beginning God walked in the garden of Eden in the cool of day.

Genesis 3:9 NKJV
[9] Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

later Jesus walked in the sea of Galilee searching for His friends Peter , Andrew, John and James

Where are you ,friend of God?

Are you hiding from God because of the mess you created, or are you still confused and conveniently shifting blame onto your spouse, children, colleagues, leadership, church, etc.?”

Come to Jesus, your true friend. Surprisingly, He still loves us despite the mess we’ve created and our tendency to blame others, even God, as Adam did when he said, ‘The woman you gave me.’ We often echo this, saying, ‘The woman you gave me, the boss you gave me, the church you gave me, the leadership you gave me,’ etc.”

In this world we shall have trouble,

James 1:2-4 CEV
[2]  My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. [3] You know you learn to endure by having your faith tested. [4] But you must learn to endure everything, so you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.

It is easier said than done, I know, but it is not an impossible request.”

We have The Holy Spirit , He never leaves us nor forsakes us ,He is our helper and always willing to guide us to the light,the word of God and teaches us patiently in spite of us throwing a lot of tantrums.

He is our refuge; we will be safe and secure in Him, our rock.”

The only thing is , it depends on how quickly we realise our helplessness and run to him, which would spare us deep wounds and bruises.

Psalms 91:2-4 NKJV
[2] I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” [3] Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. [4] He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

Jesus literally said in these lines to the people of Jerusalem, unfortunately they hardened their hearts.

Luke 13:34 CEV
[34]  Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your people have killed the prophets and have stoned the messengers who were sent to you. I have often wanted to gather your people, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you wouldn’t let me.

As a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, so the wings of the Holy Spirit , they are much stronger and more powerful than those of any bird.”

Let us run to Him; He is our Refuge. Whatever tomorrow holds, Jesus is our refuge, and under His wings we are safe.”

We have to obey these words quickly,trying to  find quick fixes and doing as the world does, is worthless and a waste of time and will cost a lot on our health and well being.

Ephesians 4:30-32 CEV
[30] Don’t make God’s Spirit sad. The Spirit makes you sure that someday you will be free from your sins. [31] Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don’t yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude. [32]  Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.

May the Holy Spirit help us obey. Lord, help us not only to hear Your word but also obey your word.”

Let our eyes be opened to the eternal glory awaiting us , shortly we shall be there ,until then may your Love fill our hearts and renew our minds , transform us to be more like Jesus and let us never be ashamed of the gospel of Christ Jesus,which is power to us unto salvation as we believe.
