Ecclesiastes 9:10 AMP
[10] Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) where you are going.
We waste out time ideally thinking to ourselves that we are to wait until God lifts us up.
God did not say be a couch potato untill I move you up,.
He rather says let not your aspirations be a hindrance to your learning process which you often get only as a handson experience. At the shopfloor you have to dirty your hands untill you could learn to handle the tools.
Proverbs 20:4 AMP
[4] The lazy man does not plow when the winter [planting] season arrives; So he begs at the [next] harvest and has nothing [to reap].
It also reminds us of the parable of the unwise and wise virgins.
Worry delays the progress, attimes it cripples you so much even preventing you from getting out of your bed.
So if you are working for someone do not wait until you get a work fitting your skill sets, get to work first.
If you are a minister of God don’t wait until you get a podium, (many would say “i am waiting for God to open a door for me” ). preach when podium offered and preach even without it.
2 Timothy 4:2 AMP
[2] preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.
They say Rome is not built in a day.
Perseverance surely pays.
The best example was given by our Lord himself in
Luke 18:2-3, 5 NKJV
[2] saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. [3] Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’
[5] yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
Do not lose heart,do not quit,will not the judge of all , loving and just God help us in our time of need.? surely He will .Amen.
